Design Costs
Web design prices will vary from site to site depending on the content and
type of site. This information should give you a gauge as to how much you
can expect to spend on your site.
Basic Sites:
- Most sites will cost about $100 -$150 per page. The average basic site
will cost $400-$800. Animation's and Banner design will not be included in
this price. This animation work is done on an hourly basis @75 per hour and
will be quoted up front during the design phase of your web site. If we design
a custom logo for your site that will be copyrighted and used on business
cards, letter heads ect... the charge will be a minimum of $300 extra on top
of the design cost. The logo design is done in coordination with the customer
and the designer. The cost will depend on the total time involved in the logo
design. The alternative to this type of logo design would be to use a simple
text header for your site.
E-commerce Sites:
- We offer 2 hosting plans that have shopping cart software built in and
ready for your products. We have 2 versions of this E-commerce ready site.
The silver version has a 10 product limit and is very inexpensive at $39.95
per month. The platinum version has a 1000 product and category limit and
allows for more customization with the shopping cart software and will cost
$49.95 a month to host. Both of these options can be set up for manual or
automatic payment processing.
- We also have a custom designed shopping cart for more serious E-Commerce
ventures. This cart uses a SQL data base and has all the features you would
expect from a professional cart system. It can be designed to fit your business
needs and is very customizable with sizes and colors of products and custom
pages that fit your site design. Plan on $800-$1500 extra for the integration
costs. The hosting cost will be $59.95 per month.
- Design costs for basic E-Commerce sites will be about $100- $150 per page
and on average will cost $400- $800 for the finished site. Designs that use
our custom shopping cart and SQL data base will be no less than $1200 and
on average will run as high as $5000 for the completed product.
Payment Processing
There will also be recurring yearly costs incurred with making
your site a secure place to shop. If this is your first web business you may
want to go with the manual payment processing method. Sites that are just getting
started or only sell a few items may only take phone orders. The next step up
would be receiving credit card orders automatically from your site but manually
enter the credit card orders into a credit card terminal. This is similar to
placing orders over the phone to a call center where a person will ask for your
card number. From there you would move to an online verification system that
receives the orders and processes the orders called a payment gateway. This
would be the most costly method and would only be recommended for large high
volume sales sites. The costs would include secure certificates, credit card
verification services, and merchant accounts. You should also know that when
credit cards are used to make a purchase the merchant account provider is paid
a fee for each transaction. The fee is a percentage of the total purchase amount
and changes from one card company to the next. Everyone wants to be paid!!!!
Advertising
In order to be successful on the web you have to advertise. The first
step in promoting your site will be search engine submission. PC Support Group
does it's very best to make your site become number 1 in searches that contain
information about your products and services. Web sales work because of search
hits! Banners, e-mail notifications, and other forms of advertising will also
be used to promote the site. The costs involved with advertising can be kept
to a minimum when you're just getting your site up and running so don't be afraid
of following through with a good idea. When your ready to reach a lot of shoppers
you will have to spend no less than $500 which will be paid out to search engines,
banner traders and prime advertising spots on well known sites.
All of these costs will be explained and "quoted"
up front when your site is being designed. We hope this information has helped
you with your decision to use PC Support Group as your quality web provider.
